Top-Rated Baseball Physical Therapy
GET BACK ON THE MOUND WITHOUT Fear
Throwing is the fastest human motion ever recorded — and your rehab should respect that. Our comprehensive approach addresses the root cause of arm pain, restores your velocity, and gives you the tools to stay healthy all season long.

STOP THE CYCLE OF ARM PAIN
REST ISN'T REHAB
You've tried time off, but the pain returns when you throw again. Without addressing root causes, you're stuck in an endless cycle.
PAIN MIGRATES
Shoulder pain last season becomes elbow pain this year. When mechanics and strength aren't fixed, your body compensates.
VELOCITY DROPS
Fear of pain changes your mechanics. You're not throwing as hard, and scouts are noticing.
THE THROWER'S SUCCESS ROADMAP
Arm injuries are complex with multiple contributing factors. Our proven 4-step protocol addresses physical limitations, throwing mechanics, and long-term maintenance — because one season without pain isn't enough.

Phase 1
RESTORE RANGE & STRENGTH
Many throwing athletes arrive with substantial losses in shoulder mobility and rotator cuff strength, often with pain. Our first goal is restoring full, pain-free range of motion and balanced strength throughout your kinetic chain.During this phase, throwing is limited or eliminated to let tissues heal while we address the underlying deficits that caused your injury.
phase 2
BUILD EXPLOSIVE POWER
Throwing generates extreme forces through your entire body.Once basic strength returns and pain subsides, we progress to explosive movements like medicine ball throws and plyometrics. These faster movements bridge the gap between rehab exercises and actual throwing, preparing your arm and body for the demands ahead while our PTs monitor your form and progression.

phase 3
RETURN TO THROWING
The most exciting and critical phase. Too many athletes throw too hard, too soon and end up back at square one.Using technology to measure arm stress and velocity, we start with light throwing drills 3 days per week.Your customized throwing progression builds systematically back to game velocity while we monitor your body's response and adjust accordingly.
Phase 4
MAINTAIN PERFORMANCE
Breaking the injury cycle requires year-round commitment. You'll leave with a complete arm care program including throwing volume management, in-season strength maintenance, and pre-throwing activation routines. We teach you to recognize early warning signs and provide the tools to address them before they sideline you again.

FAQs
Baseball and softball throwing injuries require specialized expertise. Here are answers to the most common questions athletes and parents ask about baseball physical therapy and safe return to throwing.
We treat the full spectrum of baseball and softball injuries, with particular expertise in throwing-related problems. This includes shoulder impingement, rotator cuff strains, UCL (Tommy John) injuries, elbow tendinitis, labral tears, and scapular dyskinesis. We also address lower body issues that affect throwing mechanics like hip impingement and core weakness. Our team sees numerous baseball and softball players every week, giving us unmatched experience with sport-specific injury patterns.
Baseball physical therapy requires deep understanding of throwing biomechanics and the specific demands placed on a pitcher's or position player's arm. We analyze your entire kinetic chain – from your feet through your fingertips – because throwing is a full-body movement. Generic shoulder exercises won't address the precise muscle timing, strength ratios, and movement patterns needed for safe, effective throwing. Our Thrower's Success Roadmap is specifically designed for baseball and softball athletes.
This depends entirely on your specific injury and pain levels. Some athletes can continue modified activity while addressing underlying movement dysfunctions, while others need complete rest initially. We work closely with coaches to develop throwing progressions that allow you to stay involved with your team when possible. Our goal is always to keep you doing as much as safely possible – we understand that athletes want to train and compete.
Our return-to-throwing program follows a systematic progression starting with gentle range of motion and basic strengthening, advancing through long toss, mound work, and finally game situations. We use objective measures like pain levels, range of motion, and strength testing to guide progression. Most throwing athletes follow a 6-8 week graduated program, but this varies based on injury severity and individual response. We never rush this process – proper progression prevents re-injury.
We use advanced 3D motion analysis to break down your throwing mechanics and identify movement patterns that contribute to injury risk. This includes analyzing your stride length, arm slot, hip-shoulder separation, and follow-through. We then develop specific exercises and drills to address these mechanical flaws while building the strength and mobility needed to maintain proper form. Many athletes discover they can throw harder and more accurately after addressing these issues.
Absolutely. While pitchers face the highest throwing volumes and injury rates, position players have their own unique demands and injury patterns. Catchers deal with repetitive squatting and throwing from awkward positions, infielders make quick, powerful throws across the diamond, and outfielders need long-distance accuracy. Position players also commonly experience hip, knee, and muscle strain injuries due to the explosive movements required in baseball. We tailor our approach based on your specific position and throwing demands, whether you're a weekend tournament player or competing at the collegiate level.
Prevention starts with proper mechanics, adequate strength and mobility, and smart training loads. We teach athletes how to recognize early warning signs of overuse, maintain proper arm care routines, and build the kinetic chain strength needed to handle high throwing volumes. Many of our baseball athletes continue with maintenance programs during their season to monitor throwing loads and address minor issues before they become major problems.
